Better Because We Exist

Better Because We Exist Mother Theresa once said, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” In spirituality, we learn something similar. We can’t change the world and everyone in it. But what we can do is change ourselves. Ask yourself: “How many blessings do I bring forward each day? How many people have I helped? How many things have I done to make this world a better place because I exist in it? How many things have I done that are lasting?” Think about it. I’m sure most of us have enjoyed a really good meal in our life. But you know what? We enjoyed eating it for an hour or so, and then we’re full and the moment passed. But when we’ve really helped somebody, and something’s happened in that person’s life that made it better because we existed in it, well, most of us don’t forget that.
