The Infinite Light of God

The Infinite Light of God

As we remember the devastating effects of this day twelve years ago, it can be very difficult because it is very easy to feel a sense of hopelessness. We cannot go back and change what happened and it may seem that as we go through our individual lives trying to make a living, we are powerless to change much on a larger scale.

What we need to connect to at times like this is the opportunity to let go of the illusions that keep us busy on a day to day basis and to demand to reconnect with what is real. We are all sparks of the same Light and we have all come here for the same collective purpose: to reveal light in a world of chaos. This is our job, and this is how we earn our honor.

This purpose is something that we must know and be certain about, because “believing” is not the same as “knowing” Knowing something with certainty is what creates connection to the Light; while beliefs only create disconnection and doubt. Today we can strengthen our certainty in the power of unconditional love for each other.

Although the candle flickers, the nature of the light it creates never changes. As the wick burns, only the wax melts; the light remains. In the same way Light that we give to others close to us remains long after the wax of the candle—our body—is gone, for the Light of God is infinite.
