ASKING FOR HELP

Sometimes we mistake asking for help as a weakness, but it takes great strength to know that we cannot overcome our battles alone.

Whether you choose to call your higher power “God,” “Jesus,” “Buddah,” “the universe,” or “the Light” – it’s important for anyone on a spiritual path to establish a relationship with the Creator, and find ways to strengthen that bond each day.

One such way is by becoming more like the Creator through battling negativity, transforming selfishness into selflessness, and changing from being a reactive person into one who is proactive. To assist with this, we need a support system of teachers and friends – not the kind who only tell us what we want to hear, but real friends who push us to become our best.

This is precisely why my mother, Karen Berg, dedicated her life to creating Kabbalah Centres around the world; multi-faith communities where students could study with others seeking wisdom, and connect with teachers for counsel and guidance.

This is an incredibly powerful week to take your spiritual walk to the next level by surrounding yourself with those who will help you to grow. If you have a teacher, it’s a good time to meet and ask what he or she sees you most need to work on to generate more fulfillment in your life. If you don’t have a teacher, it’s a perfect time to get one.

Help is always available, but we have to be willing to ask for it – from the Light, and from each other.

We can all become the best version of ourselves with a little help from our friends.

72 Name of the Week

Hey Lamed Mem
SHARING THE FLAME

I tap into the infinite, the hidden dimension, the ultimate source of strength and Light, and imagine sharing that joy with all those around me. Darkness recedes as I see candles burning across the universe, signifying the spreading of joy and Light. I ask for the strength to go into the world to share goodness and create greater opportunities for Light, love and compassion.
