How to Have More If I have one hundred dollars and I give away a dollar, I don’t have one hundred dollars anymore, right? I have ninety nine. In the material world, if I give something away, then inevitably I have less of that thing. In spirituality, on the other hand, we are dealing with energy that does not diminish—energy that kabbalists refer to as “Light.” Think of this this way: If I take a candle and then use that candle to light a hundred more candles, the light of the first candle doesn’t change or diminish. On the contrary, the overall Light in the room increases. According to the principles of spirituality, the more we share of our Light, the more Light we create for everyone, including ourselves.
