December 14: Sharing is Beautiful
“I hate being this vulnerable,” I said to a friend after sharing some of what I thought were particularly unacceptable emotions and feelings with him. I had just spent fifteen minutes displaying an entire side of myself that I would have preferred didn’t exist.
“I love your power and your strength, Melody,” he said. “But I think you’re even more beautiful when you’re human and vulnerable.
Hmrnm. Maybe the dark side of that moon is more beautiful than we thought.
Prayer: Give me the courage to be honest about myself. Keep me from causing harm to myself or others. Help me learn about the tremendous power and healing of honestly sharing who I really am.
