Intention: I come into full awareness that suffering is due to attachments (addictions) which ultimately form as a result of the denial of my interconnectedness with all that is and my rightful place in the universe. | |
Affirmation: I have come to the realization through personal experience that the intelligence of mankind is not the only intelligence at work in the universe. | |
Result: I am committed to seek the Truth in all things in order to restore my connection with my center and to reconnect my Will with that of my highest purpose. |

We admitted we were powerless over our addiction--that our lives had become unmanageable. – Awareness

Intention: It is my intention to contemplate my internal belief system by exploring my inner most hidden feelings. | |
Affirmation: I allow my wounds and mistaken beliefs to gently surface, so that I may begin to release and heal them. | |
Result: I
heal my heart through the universal power of love, compassion and
forgiveness. |

Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves. - Contemplation
Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs. - Surfacing
Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character. - Forgiveness
WEST POINTS: Balance, Responsibility, Restoration |
Intention: It is my intention to bring balance to my life by tapping into my unique creative force. | |
Affirmation: I take responsibility for my own human condition and seek to restore harmony with others in my life. | |
Result: I restore harmony and balance to myself and to my relationships through the universal power of love and truth. |

Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings. - Balance
Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all. - Responsibility
Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. - Restoration

Intention: It is my intention to live in the light of truth and embody integrity. | |
Affirmation: I nurture my connection to my Center by steadfastly seeking to reunify my Body, Mind, Heart and Soul as I align my Free Will with my Higher Purpose. | |
Result: I embrace that which I am and live in gratitude for the abundance and grace that is my birthright, as I receive in order to graciously share my legacy. |

Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it. - Integrity
Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out. – Reunification
Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs. - Grace
