Nuggets Of Enlightenment & Wisdom

  • The root of all health is in the brain. The trunk of it is in emotion. The branches and leaves are the body. The flower of health blooms when all parts work together.
  • Forget yesterday - it has already forgotten you. Don't sweat tomorrow - you haven't even met. Instead, open your eyes and your heart to a truly precious gift - today.
  • The fact-seeking scientist conceives of...a God of force. The emotional artist sees...a God of aesthetics. The reasoning philosopher is sometimes inclined to posit...a pantheistic Deity. The religionist of faith believes in a God who fosters survival...the God of love.
  • Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open.
  • The body is like a piano, and happiness is like music. It is needful to have the instrument in good order.
  • But those who desire to understand, who are looking to find that which is eternal, without beginning and end, will walk together with greater intensity, will be a danger to everything which is unessential, to unrealities, to shadows. And they will concentrate, they will become the flame, because they understand... Because of that true friendship... there will be real cooperation on the part of each one. And this is not because of authority.
  • He who has health, has hope; and he who has hope, has everything.
  • Your self-image controls the results in your life.  You can become the sort of person and live the sort of life you want by deciding who and what you want to be, and then acting like that person and doing the things they do.  Improving your self- image is the first step towards improving your results.
  • Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember you have within you the strength, the patience and the passion to reach for the stars, to change the world.
  • The moment when you first wake up in the morning is the most wonderful of the twenty-four hours. No matter how weary or dreary you may feel, you possess the certainty that, during the day that lies before you, absolutely anything may happen. And the fact that it practically always doesn’t matters not a jot. The possibility is always there.
  • If we were to make the conscious and frequent effort of treating others with consideration, the effects on us and on society as a whole would be amazing.
  • Few mortals ever dare to draw anything like the sum of personality credits established by the combined ministries of nature and grace. The majority of impoverished souls are truly rich, but they refuse to believe it.
  • Never look down to test the ground before taking your next step; only he who keeps his eye fixed on the far horizon will find his right road.
  • Love is the ability and willingness to allow those that you care for to be what they choose for themselves without any insistence that they satisfy you.
  • God offers to every mind its choice between truth and repose.
  • All human beings should try to learn before they die what they are running from, and to, and why.

  • Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
  • Many people believe spirituality means sitting on a mountain to meditate all day. But really it’s just the opposite. Spirituality is about becoming more involved with removing people’s pain in mainstream reality. The more work you do for others – not separate from them – the higher you evolve spiritually.
  • Let go of your attachments to how and when your wealth will come to you. Be patient and have faith that your efforts will bear fruit. Acknowledge your blessings, and be confident in your ability to create.  Wealth will come to you naturally and easily.
  • Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.

  • Only those who attempt the absurd can achieve the impossible.
  • Many of us are afraid to follow our passions, to pursue what we want most because it means taking risks and even facing failure. But to pursue your passion with all your heart and soul is success in itself. The greatest failure is to have never really tried.
  • Inspiration may be a form of superconsciousness or perhaps of subconsciousness—I wouldn't know. But I am sure it is the antithesis of self-consciousness.
  • Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it or work around it.
  • Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.
  • Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail.

  • Imitate until you emulate; match and surpass those who launched you. It's the highest form of thankfulness.
  • You can’t think your way into acting positively, but you can act your way into thinking positively.
  • This above all - to thine own self be true, and it must follow, as night follows day, thou canst not then be false to any man.”

    • Oneness is the energy of love that lies within and connects all of life, enabling us to recognize ourselves in everything.  The universe is one being and we are its cells, all essential and responsible for the wellbeing of the whole.

  • Friendship is the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring all right out just as they are. chaff and grain together, certain that a faithful, friendly hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of comfort, blow the rest away.
  • Don’t ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can’t be exactly who you are.
  • Soul or saint making is not an overnight process: it may take most of our lives, or it may take only a few revelations of the truth - it all depends on who we are and what we are dealing with. That is why it is so important to have respect for one another. Finding the gifts at the core of our soul is an interesting process. It frees us to be truly ourselves in the most beautiful light available. God's love.
  • It is said that there are three ways we can change something that is destined to happen to us. One is with prayer, the second is by giving charity, and the third is by changing our ways. The most powerful is the last. There are destinies we can undo when we make the effort to sincerely transform our negative attributes.
  • It's time to start living the life you've imagined.
  • There's only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving and that's your own self.
  • Never forget that failure isn't bad. Failure isn't final. Don't let the fear of failure stop you from achieving the success you deserve. If you're struggling, keep hustling. Keep taking at least one big action step each day.
  • Joyfulness keeps the heart and face young. A good laugh makes us better friends with ourselves and everybody around us.
  • There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.
  • I don't want to live in the kind of world where we don't look out for each other. Not just the people that are close to us, but anybody who needs a helping hand. I can't change the way anybody else thinks, or what they choose to do, but I can do my bit.
  • Sometimes it's not the strength but gentleness that cracks the hardest shells.
