The Root of the Issue

The Root of the Issue

People often think that when they go through some kind of difficulty, they are then entitled to some kind of reward. They’ll say, “OK, I’m going through a cleansing. I’m in a place of darkness. I’ve been there; I’ve paid my dues. Now I’m entitled to x, y, and z.” The catch here is that unless we get to the seed, the root, of the problem and address it, why should we be entitled to a reward? Just because we went through some kind of pain or punishment? It doesn’t work that way.

In other words, if we can’t figure out why something negative is happening to us, then we need to ask ourselves, “What more can I do to change?”
